The European Project Space (EPS) provides an opportunity for researchers and practitioners involved in ongoing or past European research projects to present the objectives and outcomes of these projects as well as future plans regarding continuation opportunities.
The presentation of demos, posters and panels at the same venue and simultaneously with several related conferences allow a large audience among conference participants to get a better insight into the research projects that participate in this initiative.
Additionally, representatives of the European Commission will address the audience and present new research projects financing opportunities related to Horizon 2020
The EPS that will be held in Porto is related to Optics, Photonics and Lasers, involving a related conference namely PHOTOPTICS, to provide insights into cutting edge research work and R&D projects, originating from Academia or Industry, either in Europe or elsewhere. This initiative intends to create opportunities for knowledge and technology sharing, and establish the basis for future collaboration networks involving current project partners and interested conference delegates.
The European Project Space allows several forms of participation:
- Lease of an exhibition area (2x2m with a table, chair, electrical power plugs and internet connection for distributing information or for demonstration purposes)
- Poster Display A0 (84 cm X 118 cm) portrait format
- Demonstration of project results either orally (20 minute presentation) or with the lease of an exhibition area
- Panel/Round Table
- Organization of a special session, workshop,
a panel/round-table or a tutorial, focused on the project topics of research to be held in conjunction with the main conference
Interested parties are welcome to participate with one or more forms. Each can choose the combination of participation forms that consider better suited for maximizing the impact of their presence.
